Massage Therapy Session

Oncology Massage

Oncology massage is a gentle form of massage specifically designed for individuals affected by cancer. Techniques are light, slow, and adjusted to the individual's comfort and health status.

Not about treating the cancer itself, oncology massage is a way of  providing comfort, relaxation, and symptom relief throughout diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Therapists with specialised training understand the unique needs and precautions for cancer patients, including considerations for treatment side effects (e.g., fatigue, nausea, neuropathy), surgical sites, radiation areas, and compromised immune systems.

Benefits often include reduced anxiety, improved sleep, alleviation of pain and fatigue, and a greater sense of well-being. It provides a nurturing, safe space for emotional release and can significantly enhance quality of life by offering a respite from the medical aspects of cancer.

Leg massage therapy

Relaxation Massage

A gentle, flowing treatment designed to melt away stress and tension. You'll leave feeling refreshed, revitalised, and deeply at peace.

Using smooth, light-to-medium pressure this massage focuses on easing muscle tightness, improving quality of sleep and enhancing overall well-being.

Encouraging your body to enter a parasympathetic state where your body simply "rests and digests", improving circulation and sleep quality. Gentle lymphatic drainage techniques can support your body's natural removal of waste products and reduce mild puffiness.

During the session, your therapist will employ gentle techniques.  Primarily using long, gliding strokes (effleurage), kneading (petrissage) and rhythmic tapping (tapotement).  These techniques are applied with light-to-firm pressure, tailored to your comfort and preference.

Person Receiving Back Massage

Massage for Horse Riders

Riding demands core stability, balance, flexibility, and strength.

Our specialised treatments focus on releasing tension in the lower back, hips, and abdomen to improve your seat, balance, and partnership.

Alleviating stiffness from maintaining posture and absorbing impact, enhancing your upper body's suppleness and independent aids.

Targeting tight hip flexors, adductors and hamstrings, flexibility is crucial for a long, relaxed leg and effective communication through the seat.

Improve dexterity through easing forearm and hand fatigue, often from rein holding, promoting a softer, more responsive contact.

Relaxing back massage

Back, Shoulder and Neck Massage

Our back, shoulder, and neck massage is designed to target tension accumulated as a result of stress, poor posture and the demands of daily life.

This focused treatment targets the muscles responsible for holding you upright, carrying your burdens, and frequently contributing to persistent discomfort and stiffness.

During your session, our skilled therapist will concentrate on the back, from the lumbar region up through the thoracic spine, directly addressing muscle knots and general tightness. They will then move to your shoulders, releasing tension which often contributes to hunched posture and restricted movement.

The neck will be gently worked upon, easing stiffness and reducing tension that frequently contributes to headaches.

Utilising a blend of techniques including effleurage, petrissage, and localised deeper pressure where needed, we aim to alleviate pain, improve posture, increase range of motion, and promote relaxation. This leaves your back, shoulders, and neck feeling looser, lighter, and truly revitalised.
